Support the Coconut Grove Crisis Food Pantry – July 8th

NCJW, Kendall Section, in partnership with St. Louis Catholic Church, is doing a food drive for needy residents in Coconut Grove, Monday, July 8th.

The pantry is very low on supplies during the summer and they appreciate any help we can provide. We will be collecting canned or packaged foods Monday, July 8th at St. Louis Catholic Church in their circular driveway. Drop off times are 4pm to 6pm. The Pantry is unable to use cans with expired dates so please check the dates before you donate. Tax forms are available when the food is dropped off.

If the drop-off time at the church is not convenient for you, please bring the canned food, before July 8th, to Sally Russomanno’s house: 458 Rovino Ave., Coral Gables, 33156. Please call her first. Her phone number is: 305-632-0256

Alternatively, you may donate on Amazon and have them deliver the food. To do so, please go to: coconutgrovecrisisfoodpantry.com. If you choose this option, you may schedule to pick up a donation slip at Judith’s house by calling 305-667-0818. If given the option, please mention that you’re a member of NCJW. You may also donate a check made out to the Coconut Grove Crisis Food Pantry and mail it to Sally so they know it comes from NCJW, Kendall. They use cash from the checks to buy fresh vegetables and meats.

The following items are needed:

• Canned fruit
• Canned vegetables
• Canned soup
• Canned tomato products, spaghetti sauce
• Canned stew, chili, pasta (Beefaroni, Spaghettios, ravioli)
• Canned tuna, chicken, SPAM, Vienna sausage
• Dry pasta (boxed macaroni and cheese, spaghetti, noodles)
• Rice, dried beans, lentils
• Peanut butter and or Jelly
• Cereal
